When our PAX was 5 years
old, we have already been absolutely in love with
the breed and we knew that rottweilers would accompany us forever. We started to
think of buying a female puppy - a younger companion for PAX's older years, who
would give him energy and a will to remain playful. In the beginning, we planned
to import a puppy from Germany - we made even a reservation in one of ADRK kennels.
However, it turned out that from the chosen combination only 2 pups were born (a
male and a female) and the breeders decided to keep this couple for themselves.
We didn't want to wait any longer, especially that we found out about a very
interesting expected litter in Poland, but out of foreign parents. The father of
the puppies was one of the most titled rottweilers in the world history of the
breed - 2 x World Winner '96 & '97 (!!!), Inter- and Multi Champion
(Champion of Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Luxemburg) - RAGNAR van het
Falconsnest - a Belgian star with exclusively German pedigree. We liked RAGNAR
even more as we saw him persoanlly at the World Dog Show in Budapest (Hungary)
in 1996 and he made huge impression on us there - large, elegant, full of energy.
At that show we presented our PAX also in the working class and RAGNAR had a
following catalogue number. The mother of the puppies was a female born in
France (but also with German pedigree) Polish Champion, French Club Winner -
JUMA vom Raubritter. We liked not only JUMA, but also her impressive
brother Int./Multi Champion JUBEL (sold to Argentina) and famous JUMA's mother -
Int./Multi Champion (Champion of France, Poland and Monaco) - FRAIDA vom
Loewenstein. All in all, our future puppy was to have great pedigree with ... 13
international champions in it !!! Decision was made.
Puppies out of RAGNAR and JUMA were born on 21st April 1998 under the kennel
name "Ankus" - 3 males and 4 females, and among them our NESKA.
We picked her as a 5-week puppy and collected her 2 weeks later. |
NESKA -
8 week old |
All the
names of these puppies were to begin with letter "N" and we were given
by a breeder a possibilty to choose a name for our girl. We decided on
NESKA (like our favourite coffee - Nescafe - equally good and black, but
written in Polish with "K" in the middle in order to make the
pronounciation easier) - offically in a pedigree - NESKA RAUBRITTER Ankus.
NESKA
(4 m.o.) with PAX
|
She turned out to be extremely energetic puppy. She felt like at home very soon
and from the very beginning PAX was her hero - large, powerful and calm
rottweiler. As we expected, playful and temperamentful NESKA brought a lot of
joy into PAX's life. |
NESKA was growing into an elegant, harmonious lady. In March 1999 we entered
NESKA for her first dog show - in Warsaw - debut in the large competition in the
youth class and ... V 1 with Youth Winner and then Best Winner of Breed
defeating the best young male. Then other shows - 12 alltogether in the youth
class and 11 x V 1 and 1 x V 2 !!! 10 x Youth Winner title, winning the youth
class at the PL Club Winner Show 1999 under the ADRK judge Jurgen Wulff and
Junior Best in Show at the Speciality Show of Rottweilers and Dobermans in
Bydgoszcz. At the age of 12 months NESKA was PL Youth Champion. Her wins
were almost beyond our dreams and the number of her wins (especially in
coparison to the number of shows she attended) could be perceived as a
record ! NESKA achieved alsmost everything she could in the youth class and at the
age of 15 months we presented her for the first time as the youngest competitor
in the open class at the National Dog Show in Jelenia Gora under ADRK judge Hans
Jurgen Radtke . Despite her childish behaviour on that day (skipping in movement
and dragging the leash), NESKA was awarded V 2 and very nice report with words
of good prospects for the future. In the same show season (Autumn '99) NESKA has
started to achieve her adult show success. She began her way to the championship
by winning V 1 + CAC at the International Dog Show in Wroclaw. Moreover, she
got her first, the most important - CACIB - certificate for the International
Champion (FCI) by winning also V 1, CAC and Best Female title at the
International Dog Show in Krakow at the of ... only 17 months (!), defeating
number of older and more titled females. The year 1999 was successully sumed up
by awarding NESKA by the Polish Rottweiler Club with a title
"Winner of the Show Ranking 1999" in the youth category with
incredible advanatge over other bithes (NESKA achieved 1025 points, while
the second female around 300).
The
beginning of the show season 2000 brought us new wins of NESKA - V
1 & CAC at the International Dog Shows in Katowice - to the
required 6-month period between the first and the last CAC to become a
PL Champion only 1 week was missing, other requirements were
fulfilled. The next show, this time in
Warsaw, was finished with even greater success - V 1, CAC, Best Female and Best of
Breed for NESKA... and adult PL Championship at the age of just 23 months
! |
NESKA
winning in Warsaw
|
Other shows were the whole series of NESKA's
wins, including 4 x CACIB in year
2000 given by judges from 3 different countries. In that year, NESKA had also
brilliant results abroad - at international shows in: Prague and Brno (Czech
Rep.), Bratislava (Slovakia) and this most important - V 1, CAC, CACIB, Best
Female & Best of Breed at the Show in Palanga (Lithuania) under the Swiss
judge Lisbeth Mach. It was still year 2000 when NESKA fulfilled all condtions to
become International Champion, apart from one - between the first and the last
CACIB there was no required minimum period of 12 months |
At the end of September 2000, we decided to have puppies out of NESKA for the
first time and we bred her to our Champion PAX Predator. Our choice was well
thought over as we perfectly new the adavnatges of PAX as a stud stog -
stabil and self-confident personality and beautiful head type - these were the
most important features he passed over his offspring. Although NESKA was
shown only for 2/3 of the show season (in its remaining part she was pregnant),
she became V-ce Winner of the Show Ranking 2000 in the adult category.
NESKA with her puppies |
The puppies out of PAX and NESKA ("I" Marstal
litter) were born on
1 December 2000 - 10 puppies (4 males and 6 females). It was the first litter
raised by us, so there was some extra dose of emotions. NESKA turned out to be
wonderful mother. This lively female on everyday, when with the puppies was
extremely delicate and careful. In the first days after giving a birth, we just
could not encourage her to go just for a short walk. |
NESKA came back to very good shape
soon. Although in year 2001 we didn't show
her as often as in previous years, she still had excellent results with this
most important on their top - V 1, CAC, CACIB and Best Female title at the
International Dog Show in Litomerice (Czech Rep.) under judge Alena Buriankova.
In this way NESKA became International Champion (FCI) and Czech Rep.
Champion at the age of 3 years !!! |

Championship Diploma of NESKA
|
Since then, NESKA was a mother of 2 more litters - both with top German stud
dogs. In the beginning of 2002 we bred her to young MAMBO von der Crossener
Ranch (at that time raising star of European rottweilers; today - one of
the famous dogs of the world). In the "E" Marstal litter 11
promissing puppies were born (3 males and 8 females). In Spring 2003 NESKA was
bred to another young male - FANTO vom Kuemmelsee and the result was 6 raised
puppies (4 males and 2 females) in the "P" Marstal litter. These both
combinations were chosen carefully after long consideration and we are proud of
using young stud dogs that only were beginning their carreer.
I have to add here that NESKA is a real show star, adoring to be shown and
proudly posing on a show ring. After having attended number of shows in many
different countries, I can honestly say that NESKA has one of the most
beautiful anathomies I have seen among rottweiler bitches - large (60 cm),
absolutely perfect topline, deep and broad chest with well defined forechest,
excellent setting and angulation of rare and front legs, mahogany marking and
very dark-brown eyes. The proof for that are beautiful show reports of NESKA
given by judges from the following countries: Germany, Austria, Hungary, Belarus,
Russia, Switzerland, Czech Rep., Croatia and Poland. NESKA's movement is fluent
and dynamic. |
One of our most pleasent memories is the International Dog Show in
Prague (Czech Rep.) in year 2000, where the Swiss judge Hans Paul Zangerl (assigned
by Swiss Rottweiler Club) was clapping his hands when NESKA was moving in the
show ring during her desricption. This nice, but atypical behaviour of the
judge surprised not only us, but also ths audience surrounding the ring,
including other breeders. |
NESKA
in Prague
|
NESKA's numerous success are a source of
great joy and satisfaction for
us. However, in everyday life they are subordinate as the personality of a dog is
the most important. NESKA is a full of energy female, with high temparement. At
the same time she is very warm, always interested in caress and she asks about
it not only us, but people visiting us as well. It seams to be her dream to lick our
guests, then sit very close to their knees and ask for getting
a hug with her special sweet face expression. She also adores when something
interesting is going on - then she is fast as a flesh. When she goes for a
walk, she's constantly in a hurry, wanting to go to as many places as possible.
NESKA is a very intelligent female and her high temperament was often helpful in
training her. At the age of 13 months she accomplished PT-I course ("Companion
Dog" - equivalent of German BH) with the "very good" grade. She
learns very fast and follows every order looking directly into my eyes. Her good
results in traininig and this energetic following orders, resulted in
inviting us to the representation of our city - Lodz for the PT (Obedience)
Championship in Gdnask in 1999. NESKA was the youngest (16 months old)
and prepairing for the shortest time team member (just for 1 month), and
inspite of this she scored somewhere in the middle of attendants. He
also successufully taken the IPO-I exam. Nevertheless, I believe
that NESKA's training results are really very decent. This clever female
can also perfectly fit into relations in our 4-footed "gang" -
she accepted without any problems a leadership of her daughter INKA in
order to avoid unnecessary conflicts. She knew that irrespectively from
her position in the hierarchy, she would be loved much the same.
Moreover, although she is not a leader, she is a real peace-warden -
when she decides that her kids' play is getting to brutal, she simply
goes between them and no-one protests.
NESKA, in
spite of her 7 years of age, is the same happy and equally energetic
dog, often bahaving even more childish and playful then 3 of her
children we kept with us - INKA, ELIOT NESS and PRISKA. That's simply
what NESKA is like !
Currently,
she is not show any more, but her children (from 3 different
combinations) continue her wins. Most titled of them are:
